SGA (Sierra Green Acid) is a line of low-pH, semi noncorrosive acid solutions designed for use in multiple industries.
- SGA is a stable acid that does not decompose under normal conditions. Laboratory samples over 6 years old have had no chemical changes.
- Will completely dissolve Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, mild steel, fabric cotton and silk, yet is safe to touch and handle.
- Is readily biodegradable and breaks down to water and oxygen. Has no environmental impact.
- Is completely soluble in water.
- Is an easy-to-handle liquid with no toxic fumes.
- Has a Hazardous Materials Identification System rating of zero.
- Displays little or no corrosiveness to human skin or mucus membranes at low pH.
- No dermal toxicity. Independent third-party tests confirm a corrosive level 0.02 on a scale of 0 to 5, which is like that of water. When mixed with water, there is no exothermic reaction and no excessive heat.

SGA’s effectiveness is due to a patented stabilization and production process related to the H904 molecule and isolation of Hydronium, the ion that determines the pH of acids. The base materials are put through a propriety system which converts it into a semi noncorrosive, low pH solution.
SGA is a semi noncorrosive solution consisting of Type 1 Ultra Pure Water (<500 ppb TOC), food grade Sulfuric Acid and Calcium Hydroxide as some of its base materials. All ingredients are listed on either Codex General Standard or GRAS.
Corrosion metal tests using metal coupons also indicate SGA is noncorrosive to most metals; it is corrosive, however, to mild steel, calcium, magnesium and zinc, cotton and silk.
