SNCA Technologies is pleased to make its worldwide introduction of SGA-1 to the oil and gas industry. SGA-1, a new semi noncorrosive acid in the SNCA Products line, allows the oil and gas industry to be even more environmentally proactive in the hydraulic fracturing process of oil and gas extraction. SGA-1 is made specifically to replace hydrochloric acid.
SGA-1 will also replace toxic biocide chemistries due to our anti-microbial properties allowing for an environmentally safe addition to the liquid fracing blends.
With an ever-pressing need for environmental sensitivity, SGA-1 replaces many toxic chemicals now used in the process. Such an environmentally-safe alternative to hydrochloric acid has only recently become available to the public. Unlike hydrochloric acid, SGA-1 has no adverse environmental impact. The basis for this revolutionary scientific technology is a patented stabilization and production process related to the H9O4 molecule. The proprietary system enables isolation of Hydronium, the ion that determines the pH of acids.
Even though SGA-1 is a seminoncorrosive solution, it is extremely safe and has numerous benefits…the most significant of which is worker and environmental safety. Whereas other acids, including hydrochloric acid, can cause burning, SGA-1 is safe to handle. Skin toxicity tests show SGA-1 has a corrosive nature comparable to water with a level 0.02 on a scale of 0 to 5. When mixed with water, SGA-1 causes no exothermic or excessive heat reactions. SGA-1 eliminates many hazardous conditions associated with use, handling, storage and transportation of conventional acids.
SGA-1 is specifically formulated for hydraulic fracturing and will out-perform hydrochloric acid. It allows increased drilling safety as well as increased oil and gas production with no environmental impact.
